As the pupils in 5th and 6th Class prepare for the upcoming Student Council elections, we were delighted to have the opportunity to speak to one of our local politicians.
Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin called to Scoil Mhuire today and took the time to answer our many questions about running for election: about delivering speeches, designing posters, preparing leaflets, and the importance of standing up for what we believe in.
Significantly, he reminded us about the importance of using our voice and voting for those we believe will best represent us.
