In what proved to be a nail-biting conclusion to their competitive campaign, our first senior hurling team secured a magnificent (and hard-fought!) victory over St Mary's of Rathfarnam in the Corn Herald final in Croke Park today.
The boys put on an wonderful display of hurling, and we're so incredibly proud of their skill, perseverance, sportsmanship, and determination.
A most sincere thank you to the families who've supported the team throughout the season: by offering lifts, painting faces, and cheering from the sidelines. Thank you, also, to the staff and pupils for providing hearty support from the Cusack Stand today! Finally, congratulations and thank you to the members of staff who've dedicated so much time and energy to preparing and training the team.
Of course, ours isn't the only good news to emerge from Croke Park today, and we're absolutely delighted to be able to celebrate alongside our friends and neighbours in St Vincent de Paul Girls' School.
