ESB Science Blast
6th Mar 2024
The ESB Science Blast is a non-competitive educational programme for primary schools which involves the whole class investigating the science behind a simple question.
Our wonderful 4th Classes have spent the past few months investigating three such questions:
How do musical instruments create different sounds?
Does crowd support impact player performance in goal scoring?
Can various hurls affect the length of a strike?
Yesterday, the boys travelled to the RDS where they had the opportunity to present their work to various adjudicators, members of the public, and to other schools. We're incredibly proud of the tremendous effort they put into these projects, and very grateful to the teachers involved in guiding them through their research.
Pictures of the fun and festivities in the RDS will follow, but for now here are our three classes with their trophies!
Finally, a most sincere thank you to the parent volunteers who accompanied the classes to the RDS yesterday. Your support is greatly appreciated.
